1:1 Online Coaching for Teachers

Eva Carroll provides personalised 1:1 online coaching for teachers who feel exhausted, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply know that something needs to change.

You don’t have to want to leave teaching.

As a qualified teacher, former SENCO, Head of Careers and PSHE, and EMCC Certified Coach with more than 28 years’ experience in education, Eva understands how easily teaching can take over your time, energy and life.

Coaching can help you explore how to make teaching more manageable, set clearer boundaries, reduce perfectionism, consider part-time working or different responsibilities, develop additional income streams, or explore a completely new direction.

The aim is not to tell you what to do, but to help you work out what would make your life work better for you.

when teaching takes over!

There are more options than you think!

There are more options than you think!

  • Teaching can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also become all-consuming.
  • You may still love working with young people, but feel exhausted by the workload, responsibility and constant pressure. Or perhaps you’ve reached the point where you know something needs to change, but you’re not sure what.
  • I spent more than 25 years working in education, including leadership, careers, PSHE and SEN roles, so I understand the realities of school life.

  • My coaching is not about telling every teacher to leave teaching.
  • Sometimes the answer is a completely new career. But sometimes it might be:
  • reducing your hours or moving to part-time working
  • stepping away from leadership responsibilities
  • setting clearer boundaries around evenings and weekends
  • managing perfectionism and the feeling that everything has to be done brilliantly
  • rebuilding confidence after a difficult period at work
  • considering a different school or education role
  • identifying your transferable skills
  • exploring additional sources of income
  • creating a longer-term Plan B
  • working out what you actually want your life to look like

Does any of this sound familiar?

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Perhaps you’re constantly tired, but still find yourself working in the evenings.
  • You feel guilty whenever you say no.
  • Your job takes up far more headspace than you want it to.
  • You’re wondering how you can possibly continue until retirement.
  • You’d love to work less, but worry about money.
  • You know you have lots of skills, but struggle to see how they could transfer outside education.
  • You’ve thought about doing something different, but you’re simply too exhausted to work out what.
  • Or perhaps teaching has become such a big part of your identity that you can’t imagine what else you might do.
